The Growth Mindset Pledge
Every day I will try my best.
I will not quit. I will not rest.
Until my brain has grown a bit.
And I have learned how to do it.
If I fail, I will be ok.
I will try a different way.
I will say I just can't do it yet.
Because I have a Growth Mindset.

Special Days and Weeks for September
Monthly Character Trait
International Dot Day
International Dot Day is celebrated on Monday, September 15th.
This day is recognized to help students focus on growth mindset and creativity.
Students will be creating their own masterpieces today starting simply with a dot!
Staff and students will be encouraged to wear dots/polka dots on Dot Day, and by all means, get creative with the outfits!
Start with Hello Week
Start with Hello Week was formed by the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation in order to end bullying and school violence by promoting a positive and inclusive school community where everyone feels recognized, valued and that they belong. It is observed during the week from Monday, Sept. 15th through Friday, Sept. 19th.
Students will be bringing home a camera activity on Friday, Sept. 12th to complete the weekend prior to Start with Hello Week. They are to draw, decorate, color, and write about themselves and their families. As they bring them back into school during Start with Hello Week, teachers will be holding discussions on connections between students, school and Langtree community, and families and Hamilton community. These will be displayed throughout the school for families to see during Back to School Night and Parent/Teacher conferences.
